Telephone conference for Support Group leaders

A telephone conference call (link up) for current support groups leaders to get together is occuring on Tuesday August 24th at 1-1.30pm.

ME/CFS Australia (Victoria) Self Help Courses for People with ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia

Self help courses for people with ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia are held regularly and are facilitated by staff from ME/CFS Victoria. Courses run for six 1½  hour sessions over eight weeks, and are based on the Bruce Campbell text 'The Patient's Guide to CFS and Fibromyalgia'. 

Education Session for Parents of Children, Teenagers and Young Adults with ME/CFS

A one-off, two-hour education and informal discussion session allowing parents of children, teenagers and young adults an opportunity to share ideas and strategies to help support their child, teenager or young adult with ME/CFS will run in October 2010.

XMRV and ME/CFS Update via Webinar - Slides

During this program two experts presented on the latest research into the association between XMRV, a newly discovered human retrovirus, and CFS. Slides now available.

Dr Byron Hyde to visit Victoria

Dr. Byron Hyde has been instrumental in understanding the distinct difference between ME and CFS. He will be visiting Victoria in September 2010 to present on ME/CFS.

Education forums for members of ME/CFS Australia (Victoria)

Simon Weeks from Maurice Blackburn Lawyers will be presenting an education session for members of ME/CFS Australia (Victoria) on the topic 'Employment, superannuation and insurance for people living with ME/CFS' in October 2010.

You're invited to a pre-release screening of 'Creation', the story of Charles Darwin, as a fundraiser for ME/CFS.

Relaxation course for people with ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia

ME/CFS Australia (Victoria) is again running a five week relaxation course for people with ME/CFS and/or Fibromyalgia.

'Car boot market' to raise money for ME/CFS, May 2nd

On Sunday 2nd of May, the Wantirna Branch of the Bendigo Bank will be holding a 'car boot market' to raise awareness and money for ME/CFS.

Where: Wantirna Mall, Mountain Highway, Wantirna.

When: Sunday 2nd May, 8am - 2pm.

Representatives from ME/CFS Australia (Victoria) will be there, talking to community members and providing information on ME/CFS.  We will also have some of our promotional items for sale, including ribbons, wristbands and T-shirts.
