About Dr Byron Hyde

Dr Byron Hyde has been a long standing international medical expert on ME/CFS and has been instrumental in understanding the distinct difference between ME and CFS.

For over 25 years Dr Hyde has totally dedicated his Canadian medical practice to only patients with ME and CFS.  Dr Hyde co-edited the first ME/CFS medical text in 1992, The Clinical and Scientific Basis of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. In 2009 he authored Missed Diagnosis: ME and CFS.

His practice has focused upon detailed total body mapping of all body systems and organs to understand the nature and complexity of ME and CFS. Dr Hyde is Founder and Chair of the Nightingale Research Foundation for ME and CFS.

In the session Dr Hyde will discuss:

• How to investigate ME and CFS patients
• The difference between the two diagnoses
• Investigations and new findings for ME and CFS, and also Fibromyalgia
