Grants success for ME/CFS support groups
ME/CFS Australia (Victoria) is delighted to announce our success with a number of grant applications for ME/CFS support groups across Victoria!
ME/CFS Australia (Victoria)'s Health Promotion Co-ordinator, Alison Copley, submitted self-help grant applications in late 2009 for Victorian ME/CFS support groups to assist with expenses in the running and facilitation of groups. To date, the following groups have been successful:
- East Gippsland - $4560
- Croydon - $2000
- Cafe Club - $1200
- Albury-Wodonga - $1200
- Shepparton - $720
- St. Kilda - $720
- Ballarat - $600
As the auspice to the support groups receiving grants, ME/CFS Australia (Victoria) congratulates these groups and looks forward to strengthening relationships and opportunities to work in partnership throughout 2010.

The Victorian Department of Planning and Community Development Self-Help Grants for Community Groups assist self help groups to increase opportunities to provide information and education on the conditions and problems that people with a disability experience.
