ME/CFS Australia (Victoria) is looking for volunteers to staff our Support Line and to provide administrative assistance in the office.

ME/CFS Australia (Victoria) is currently seeking volunteers to staff our Support Line and undertake administration work.

What are volunteers required to do?

ME/CFS Support Line volunteers are people who have (or have had) a personal experience of ME/CFS, either as a person with the condition, carer, family member or health practitioner, and who are willing to provide peer support and a 'listening ear' to others. Support Line volunteers are able to work from home or from the Burwood office, and are required for a minimum of three to fours hours per fortnight (wellness permitting), in shifts from 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm on weekdays. Support Line volunteers are provided with resources and are supported though the office.

Administrative support volunteers are people who have the skills to undertake various administrative support roles either within the Dandenong office.

I'm interested in helping out, what's the next step?

Please call the office on 9791 3100 to talk to our Health Promotion Officer about a volunteering position.

The organisation appreciates that people who have ME/CFS may have limited time and capacity to undertake regular volunteer work, however we would like to encourage anyone who is interested in volunteering for us - even as a one-off - to ring and have a chat to see what we can arrange to suit you.
