A telephone conference call (link up) for current support groups leaders to get together is occuring on Tuesday August 24th at 1-1.30pm.

Self help courses for people with ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia are held regularly and are facilitated by staff from ME/CFS Victoria. Courses run for six 1½  hour sessions over eight weeks, and are based on the Bruce Campbell text 'The Patient's Guide to CFS and Fibromyalgia'.

Addendum to article 'Detection of an Infectious Retrovirus, XMRV, in Blood Cells of Patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome' - Aug 04th, 2010

In October 2009, first direct isolation of infectious xenotropic murine leukemia virus-related virus (XMRV) was reported. In that study, the scientists used a combination of biological amplification and molecular enhancement techniques to detect XMRV in more than 75% of 101 patients with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS).
